I am a seasoned artist whose practice lives at the intersection of motion, illustration, design, and technology. Some know me as an illustrator or painter, others as an animator where motion itself becomes my medium and others for my work in graphic design and the design and engineering of a better user experience.
With a career spanning 3 decades, my clients range from Apple and Symantec to the Children’s Television Workshop and Telemundo.
A credentialed educator, experienced professor, and engineer, I hold two California state credentials spanning the full range of analog and digital visual arts with additional certifications in engineering, data analysis, and psychology. As a professor and mentor, I emphasize how motion, interactivity, and classic visual art principles and practices make for a compelling experience regardless the user. I am always making, exploring, and teaching — collaboration and exploring boundaries are not peripheral to my work, they are the work.
At every stage of my career — whether in fine art, commercial design, or teaching — my approach has been the same: create work that moves, communicates, and challenges people to experience the world differently. My practice is defined by curiosity, problem-solving, and continuous learning.
